Execution of Treatment Protocol

After you finish designing a treatment protocol (see previous section), or open up an existing protocol file (see below), you are ready to proceed with the treatment. To do so, simply click on the Play Button (the arrow-like icon at the bottom area of Operation Window).

Play Box at the bottom area of Operation Window

After you click the Play Button once, IAA will automatically execute the interactive protocol and guide you go through the treatment. Just relax, concentrate on your patient and enjoy your practice. IAA plays the pre-recorded acupoints' names / label names (you can choose between either Chinese acupoint names or English label names), displays the text descriptions about the location, indications, and illustrates the points on the acupuncture chart. All of this be automatic like playing back a macro.

After you click on the Play Button, it change into pause available mode.

To temporally pause the audio, click the Pause Button (the icon in the middle), and it will be in pause mode:

Upon pressing the pause button again, it will go back playing the audio. Please note that Pause will occur when it finishes playing the current acupoint. When the pause button is released, it will continue on to play next point. If you want to completely stop it, simply press the Stop Button (the icon at the left side). When it is in stop mode, it looks like:

Another useful function is the Repeat Mode. The above pictures show what the player looks like when Repeat Mode is enabled. When disabled, it should look like this:

You can Mute the audio by double clicking anywhere within the Play Box as long as you are not clicking directly on any of the three icons. When double clicking again, IAA will unmute and and continue to play. The difference between Mute and Pause is that when it is muted, IAA still continues to navigate the acupoints in scheduled Time Offset and Time Interval, so you can practice treatment in silence, so you can look at the screen instead.

The other way to mute the audio is to set the Repeat Time to zero (0 times) in the Settings Window.

Playing Music while Acupuncture Treatment

IAA Pro prepared a built-in music player for user to conveniently play relaxing and healing music while performing acupuncture treatment. As a part of IAA Pro software, one piece of Healing Flute music is included. The healing music is composed and produced by music healing professional and copied by QMS/MBI institute. The music player also allows user to choose user's own music or other relaxing music to play during the acupuncture treatment.
